OpenID on WordPress (the non-hosted way)

Just set up newrelease as my OpenID identifier. It was fairly easy in the end..

  1. First I registered for free with ClaimID – an OpenID provider
  2. Then I clicked on “help using OpenID” and got to this page
  3. Which gave me the two <link> tags I needed to set up my blog as my OpenID identifier
  4. Then I opened up my wordpress theme’s header.php file and pasted them into the document head

Now I can use the url http://newrelease.co.za to log in on sites that support OpenID.
